Financial Aid and Scholarships

Financial Aid 101 written on a blackboard

The financial aid process is a little bit different for each student, but here are a few things that hold true for high school students.  Even though you are still in high school doesn't mean you should not start thinking and planning about how you will pay for college.
The application cycle for school year, 2018-2019 opens October 1.

Financial Aid Process
The cost of college is a burden for many families and feel like there are no resources to help.  Finding financial aid can be an overwhelming task, but you can find help at
https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/
We are excited to present a Facebook LIVE FAFSA webinar for your students and their families on Thursday, October 18 at 7 pm. The webinar is co-hosted by Cash for College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Office of Financial Aid

At 7 pm on October 18, students, families, and educators should go to the
Cash for College Alabama Facebook page on their phones or computer where the webinar will be streaming. Participants can ask questions via the comments box and can share it with their networks. You too can share the webinar as it's streaming live to your students and their families.

A FAFSA filing day is planned for November 8, from 8:00 a.m till 7:00 p.m.
