Diploma Requirements

The minimum requirements for an Alabama High School Diploma are listed below. If a student fails a requirement, the class must be repeated or taken in summer school. 

A minimum of 24 credits which must include the following:

Core Classes
4 English Credit
4 Math Credits
4 Science Credits
4 History Credits
1 Life PE credit
1 Career Preparedness Credit
0.5 Health Credit
3 Credits from areas Fine Arts, Foreign Language, or Career Technical
2.5 Additional General Electives

*Students are also required to pass the Civics Test in the US Government Course.
