Sending test scores – Test scores can be sent using parchment just like sending transcripts.
Recommendation Letters - When choosing a recommender, think of people who know you closely and for a longer period of time. People to think of would be a coach, teacher, pastor, youth leader, club sponsor, counselor, employer, etc. Give a copy of you resume or list of activities and awards to the person you are requesting a letter from. Tell the person the reason for the rec letter and if possible a description of what you are applying for. Give the person writing your recommendation letter PLENTY OF TIME to write the letter and get it back to you. Rushed letters are possible, but should not be requested in that manner all the time. Send a thank you note to the person you wrote you the letter.
FAFSA Completion – All college-bound students MUST complete the FAFSA. Even if you think you do not qualify for Pell grant money, colleges require the FAFSA for students. The FAFSA application must be renewed every year so keep your login and password in a safe place!
