My name is Nate Ayers and it is an honor to serve the Holly Pond community as the principal of Holly Pond High School. On a personal note I am in my seventeenth year in education and my eighth in administration. Prior to returning to Holly Pond High School I served as the principal at Etowah High School as well as assistant principal at Etowah Middle and Etowah High School. I am a lifelong learner who believes that every student deserves a chance to define what success is to them and have an opportunity to go after it. I am an Auburn Fan (WAR EAGLE) but as hard as it is for me to say I completed my Doctorate degree at The University of Alabama. I have been married to the love of my life (Laney) since 2008 and we have two crazy children (Parker 12) and (Walker 9).
As a school we strive to give our students the best education we can offer while at the same time offering a vast number of extracurricular options. It is with great pride that we will continue our dual enrollment partnership with WSCC while also offering AP and advanced options on campus. Career tech education is also extremely important at HPHS. Our school not only partners with the CATA but, is also home to a pair career tech departments of our own (Ag & FACS) which allow our students an opportunity to see what real-life careers look like in those fields of study.
