
Good afternoon! 1) There will be a Raptor (bird) Show tomorrow in the gym for MS students at 10am, cost is $2.....2)We want to remind parents that students may have up to 3 parent notes per semester to have absences excused. Otherwise, doctor notes will need to be turned in for absences to be excused. We appreciate parents getting notes sent in for students when that are absent!

Good afternoon...1) The 8th graders will be going to tour Cullman Area Technology Academy (CATA) on Thursday via bus to learn about the various opportunities offered for them next year. The bus will be leaving around 8:15a.m. and should be back on campus around 11:30a.m. Permission forms were sent with students last week and must be turned in by tomorrow...2)The 7th grade Career Caravan will be tomorrow at WPM around 12:30pm for 7th graders to learn about programs offered at CATA... 3) We will have a $1 Hat Day this Friday. Good afternoon! A few reminders as we get closer to Open House and the beginning of the school year... 1) Powerschool Registration must be completed for every student. An email was sent from "Powerschool Enrollment" several weeks ago. Check your spam if you cannot locate the email. As of now, about 80% of students have been registered. Thank you for taking care of this! 2)Every incoming 6th grade student that has already turned 11 years old must have an up-to-date Tdap immunization form on file before receiving a schedule. These can be received at the family doctor, most pharmacies, or an urgent care. 3) 6th grade Open House will be Sunday, August 4th from 3-5pm and 7th/8th grade Open House will be Tuesday, August 6th from 3-6pm. Lockers may be purchased at Open House for $10. 4) First day of school will be Thursday, August 8th for A-K students and on Friday, August 9th for L-Z students. We look forward to seeing our students soon and having a great school year!

Good afternoon...1)Tomorrow is "Wear Green" day in honor of WP Intermediate student Nathan Cockrell who had a medical emergency yesterday at school. Nathan is doing great and his family appreciates the prayers. 2)Students were sent home with permission forms today to be able to view the total solar eclipse that will take place on Monday afternoon during the school day. Students will be provided with solar eclipse glasses to wear while viewing the eclipse. If you approve your child to participate in the viewing, please send back the signed form tomorrow. We must receive a signed form by Monday morning for your child to participate. Thank you!
