HPHS Weekly Update | August 17–21
We had a great first week at HPHS! Our students did a fantastic job getting back into the routine, and we loved seeing our Broncos back in classrooms, hallways, and activities. Our fall athletes also represented HPHS well at Media Day on Friday. We are proud of them and excited to see our Broncos compete this fall!

IXL Fall Diagnostics
Students will begin completing their IXL Fall Diagnostics in Math and Reading. These diagnostics help us identify what students already know and where they may need additional support as we begin the year. Please encourage your student to take their time and give their best effort so we get an accurate picture of what they know.
BRONCO CLASS WARS BEGIN THIS WEEK!
The competition is ON! Beginning this week, each grade level will compete throughout the year to earn points through attendance, academics, behavior, and school involvement & spirit. The winning class will claim the Bronco Class Wars trophy, bragging rights, and an end-of-year celebration!
Students will hear more this week about how they can earn points for their class. Every Bronco matters—and every point counts!

Tuesday: Students with last name A-K first day
Wednesday: Students with last name L-Z first day

Friday: Jamboree Day 🏈!
NEW THIS YEAR: Bronco Time
Students will have a 25-minute Bronco Time each week, on Thursdays. This time is designed for connection, communication, academic support, and schoolwide activities, with every student belonging to a consistent Bronco Time group and teacher. (see the attached bell schedule)
